My son was recently given the opportunity to go to soccer camp courtesy of UsFamilyGuide and British Soccer Camp through Challenger Sports a few weeks ago and was very excited. The picture above was taken on day one and he was all smiles. This was actually my son’s first time being in a soccer camp, but he is well rounded and likes trying many sports so I thought this would be a fun opportunity for him to learn something new. Although it was extremely hot the week he went to summer camp (over 90 degrees every day) and he lost more games than he won, he thoroughly enjoyed himself.
What is British Soccer Camp? British Soccer Camp is the most popular camp in North America – 150,000 campers! With an innovative curriculum that develops skills, speed and confidence in players ages 3-18, British Soccer Camps provide kids with an opportunity to receive high-level soccer coaching from a team of international experts right in the heart of their own community. In addition to teaching new skills and improving game performance, each British Soccer Camp provides lessons in character development (such as respect, responsibility, integrity, leadership and sportsmanship), cultural education and is the most fun your child can have learning the sport they love! Tyler also learned several soccer moves, but also tips on passing, shooting, dribbling, the throw in and keeper catches. To learn more about Challenger Sports go HERE.
On the first day of camp each kid was given a soccer ball and a t-shirt which I thought was a nice touch. When I signed my son up for the camp, I was able to get him a soccer shirt (the one he is wearing in his picture above) at a discounted price and also a FREE water bottle (Shown below).
On the last day each child was given a certificate of completion with a note from the coach.
