The Largest Zoological Experience in Texas   With 95 developed acres and a large number of interesting species, the Dallas Zoo is the largest zoological experience in Texas and it is about to get even bigger when Giants of the Savanna opens Memorial Day weekend. The African savanna habitat will be home to giraffes, elephants, lions, cheetahs, ostriches, zebra, impala, and many other species. The Dallas Zoo is divided into the Wilds of Africa and ZooNorth.
